Configuration Comparison Tool/Analyzer
It would be a neat feature to have some sort of configuration tool analyzer where you can select two configurations and have it return a report that displays the differences between the two configurations.

Re: Configuration Comparison Tool/Analyzer
Hello jbilliter,
I can't agree more!!!
Another feature that I would dearly love to have is the ability to merge different instances of a configuration or a way for the development of one configuration to be collaborative, so that one developer could be working on the menus and another developer writing scripts, more like an application development.
We have both of these features on our list of things we would like for PowerVision Configuration Studio. The more people who will upvote this topic the more likely we are to get our wish!

Re: Configuration Comparison Tool/Analyzer
Oh yeah, that would also be a great addition. It is tough doing collaborative work with the current PowerVision set up. We've ran into a few instances where we've had to redo work because a collaborator didn't start with the last update due to the fact that it was not uploaded in to the common folder, or we started with the local copy and made updates without grabbing the most current. I'm sure this is a common occurrence among users of PowerVision. You have my vote.

Fully agree... ideally capable to handle a 3 way merge in order to integrate with a serious configuration control environment (svn, git or whatever...)

Pretty late to the party here. But this would be a great idea. You have my upvote too.
