Hi,
I need termination resistor for my application. There are 2 variables under
Programming tab and CAN Router folder:
Code: Select all
CANPort1.Resistor
CANPort2.Resistor
Does PV780 have internal resistor? If so, how can I activate them?
According to
Applications Reference Manual (page: 47). If their value is 1, they should be enable. But I measured high impedance between CANH and CANL lines.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Murat,
Not all PowerView displays have the internal terminating resistor, many don't, but PowerVision has the capability there for those displays with the resistor. We will need the part number and serial number of your display to be sure.
You are correct to set the variable to 1 to enable. If you have power cycled after enabling and still measure the high impedance, your display probably doesn't have it.
Thanks!

Hello Murat,
They say that CAN 1 has the internal terminating resistor. CAN 2 does not. This is for both the touch and non-touch versions.
Let me know if I can help with anything else.
