Hello,
I have read over a few posts in this forum and have been unable to find a responce that is exactly the same as mine. I did try most of the steps in the post at this link. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=128&p=351&hilit=USB#p351
However this didnt seems to fix anything (i say most as i am on a large network, and dont have permissions to disable virus programs). So my problem is that I can only get my 450 connected to computer when I connect it to my primary network, meaning I then have no internet. And even when I do this I am unable to upload dirrectly to is as the upload button is greyed out.
So my question is does any one have any advice on what I should try to get this working? Also I read that there were plans to make it possible for the programming to be done over a secondary network connection. Has this been worked on any further, as it would be ideal if it were possible to upload with out loosing my internet and network folders.
My compueter is running:
PowerVision Config build: 2.3.11147
Windows 7 Sp1 64bit
IP: 192.168.0.1
Mask: 255.255.255.0
My 450 is running.
Application: 2 310146
OS: 2 310070
Bootloader: 2 310120
Config 2 2 5
Connection Problems

Re: Connection Problems
Hello CustomFP,
I noticed that the configuration in your PV450 is 2.2.5 and the version of your PowerVision Configuration Studio is 2.3.11147 so you will need to to a full install with a flash drive before you can load configurations via direct connection.
I also noticed you asked about a secondary network connection. Did you get the programming kit with the usb to tethernet adapters?
Regards,
ksaenz

Re: Connection Problems
Hello,
Thansk for the reply. I tried the full install however it did not change the config version on my screen. Is there some reason why it wouldnt have?
And yes I did get the USB-ethernet connectors and thats what I was trying to use at first. But then i thought maybe the program wouldnt know to use the usb network as apposed to my normal one.

Re: Connection Problems
Hello,
If you are talking about the configuration version in the system settings page those numbers come from user variables:
Version.CFG.1 = 2
Version.CFG.2 = 2
Version.CFG.3 = 5
You have control over those variables, they are not over written by the system.
Now that you have done a full install in your display the computer should be able to find it and the "Load" button should be enabled a few seconds after the PV450 is powered up.
Remember to use the correct IP settings in the network adapter that is connected to the PV450:
IP address = 192.168.0.1
Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
Default gateway = [blank]
And remember that the network cable needs to be connected before you power the PV450 on because the PV450 only checks for the network connection during start up.

Re: Connection Problems
They can be in any of the programming folders.
Look in the User Variables folder or use the magnigying glass to find them.
