Hi,
Now i got an application which will consider to use PV750/450. The only thing i will need to check is the bottons programming problem.
I just wonder if these buttons can be programmed to launch some specific data just like in the standard firmware when i press the Gage Display then enter into the display screen. In other words, i need to check that if i program these buttons to some constant then when these buttons are pressed down then we can get these data from some of gaga ports throguth either CAN or RS485?
Is it doable?
If anything is unclear, please feel free to let me know.
thanks and best regards.
Terry

Hi Terry,
Yes, you can use the buttons to do what you want.

Yes, you can use the buttons to do what you want.
- You can use the buttons to show a different view directly.
You can use the buttons to run a calculation event directly.
You can use the buttons to run a script directly.
You can use the buttons to fire a transition in a state machine directly.
You can't use the buttons to execute application actions directly, but you can use the buttons to fire transitions in a state machine that will execute the application actions (e.g. send a Free Form CAN message.)

Hi Terry,
We have examples in the Knowledge Base and Tutorials section.

We have also posted examples for other questions in the forum.
If those examples do not help can you describe more specifically what you are trying to accomplish?
Thank you,
ksaenz
