I am developing a PV450 configuration a diesel powered push back tractor. We are using a camera to display rear view when the tractor is in reverse. When "keyswitch" is on and the engine has not started the video shows perfect, after starting the engine the video turns to a black running screen with multiple miscellaneous lines.
As anyone run into this problem or have a idea of the problem I am experiencing?
Thanks!
Video Screen goes Black when engine running

Hi taylorsscott,
I can duplicate the problem you are seeing by lowering the input voltage to around 4-5V. Is your camera also powered by the same battery voltage?
I have entered this issue into our tracking system. We should be able to provide a fix. As a workaround, I was able to restore video by either recycling power, or re-establishing video.

Re: Video Screen goes Black when engine running
A couple of questions here.
Do you know if the power on your system is dropping below 6 volts? The 450 can act as a voltage meter by displaying its internal voltage on a text gauge (I/O channels Battery Voltage)
Also does your configuration have multiple pages? If so does the video come back when you page away from it and come back to it?
We are able to duplicate this here in our test lab, but only if we go below 6 volts.
