Baud Rate Variable
It would be a really cool feature if you could adjust the Baud rate programmatically instead of it being hard coded through the connections screen.

Re: Baud Rate Variable
Hello asmith_class1,
You are correct! This is a great idea, in fact, it is in our list of work to be done.
I don't have an estimated time or version of PowerVision Configuration Studio that will include the feature though.
Thank you for your interest in PowerVision Configuration Studio!

PVCS 2.9.21075
Win 10 Pro
TEC-10, MPC-10, MPC-20
It would be nice to have the CAN port baud rate as something that can be changed in the field. More and more, I am seeing the end users trying to add one of these PowerCore controllers to an on highway engine with a 500 kbps baud rate for the J1939 data. They cannot change it in the field from the default 250 kbps and it ends up wasting a lot of support time and down time.
Thank you

Re: Baud Rate Variable
It can be done. The CAN speeds are variables. Here's a calculation event to change the speed to 500 kbps. Change the variable to survive power cycle.
Event to change the CAN speed and save the variable. Give it a second before doing a power reset.

Re: Baud Rate Variable
Hi Boyce,
I know that it 'can' be done by creating a custom configuration. I guess I meant to request that it gets added to the Murphy standard releases for the TEC-10, MPC-10, & MPC-20 within the menus so the end user can select it in the field. This way, it would not require a custom configuration to be made after the end user purchased the TEC-10.
Thank you.
