I have a customer that is wanting to use PV380's for engine monitoring in a commercial marine application. These will be mechanical engines and they will not be using the CAN buss, only the analog/digital I/O. They are wanting to use a 2nd 380 as a remote pilothouse display. Can I configure the Port 1 RS485 to do this via MODBUS. I noticed in 3.8, on Connections, RS485 Port 1, Protocol, a drop down list that offered the options of Local Engine Display, Remote Engine Display as well as the default PVA Gages. Can I use this to set a remote display?
Thank You

Re: PV380 Remote Display
I don't believe the Local Engine Display and Remote Engine Display features are available on the PV380. This was a feature that transmitted screen images and I believe it was available on the PowerCore. However, the Modbus master and Modbus slave is the way to use two PV380s with a RS485 connection.

Thank you Boyce. That was my first thought until I saw the other options.
