This is a PV380 configuration built with PowerVision Configuration Studio 2.8 Patch 3 that sends commands to a PDM (IX3212) from button presses. We think it could be useful to you see what the command structure and sequence is.
When using a monochrome display, Free Form messages must be used to setup the IX3212, so with this configuration, you can see some of the work that is being done in the PDM application that is available in Powervision Configuration Studio with color displays. The application lets you use windows forms to setup the very same J1939 messages for configuring an IX3212 that are used in this configuration.
This configuration displays switch status, bat volts, software version, fault codes and analog input readings, turns digital outputs on/off, as well as changes a global PWM rate for all outputs.
The configuration should be most useful to help debug the communication between a display and an IX3212, to help learn IX3212 behavior and perhaps to help troubleshoot problems with an IX3212.
If you find you have a useful variant of this config, please feel free to share that with us!
Thanks goes to Eric Carmen in the Enovation Controls Technical Services for developing the config and so generously sharing his work.
