PV380/Fuel Level Sensor
Hello,
Our customer wants to use a fuel level sensor which has 4-20 mA outputs with the PV380.
Is it possible to apply the sensor (4-20mA) with the PV380?
If yes, please kindly advise which port of the PV380 can be used for the fuel sensing.
Thank you,
tshiii

Re: PV380/Fuel Level Sensor
The best answer is to use the PV380-R2 that includes both 0-5V and 4-20mA on the 3 analog inputs. The original PV380 version only has 0-5V analog inputs. The original PV380 0-5V analog inputs can be used with a 4-20 mA input that has a resistor to ground. A 250 Ohm resistor would span the range 1V to 5V. A smaller 220 Ohm resistor can also be used so that overcurrent can be detected. Again, the best answer is to use the PV380-R2 that has the 4-20mA analog inputs.

Re: PV380/Fuel Level Sensor
Hello,
I set the Analog input 1 (by PowerVision 2.8) for the 4-20 mA output of fuel sensor.
When the sensor was connected to the pin 4 (Analog Input 1) of the PV380-R2, "-999%" was shown on the screen.
Please find attached.
Could you advise what could be a problem, configuration side or sensor connection side?
Thank you

Re: PV380/Fuel Level Sensor
Could you send me your configuration file in a Private Message? The test engineer would like to see the IO Definition for your 4-20mA Fuel Level.
