Hi Sir & Madam,
I'm trying to use the configuration(PDM with PV780 (2 7 10419)) posted by Bryan Wutzke to see how PV780 work with PDM.
After power on, ECOM can read message from PDM and the PDM.status on screen show PDM was connected with PV780, but after a few second PDM.status return to be disconnected and then it repeat the process(Connected->5s->Disconnected->Connected->5s-Disconnected......).
Only once, it worked well. I can see connection status's always Connected and press button to trigger PDM output, get the status of input correctly.
Could you help to give some advice? Attached is the screenshot. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Tim

Re: Issues on PDM with PV780
Hi Tim,
What type of PDM are you using?
IX3212: 12 or 24 volt
Legacy PDM
Thanks!

Re: Issues on PDM with PV780
Hi Sara,
My PDM is First Generation.
I find that when SA of PDM is 0x20 It can work very well with PV780. But for 0x1E, 0x1F, 0x21, it works just like what I described on last email (Connected->5s->Disconnected->Connected->5s-Disconnected......). I think maybe the configuration has some bug?
Many thanks,
Tim

Re: Issues on PDM with PV780
Hello Tim,
The states of digital inputs 1 & 2 are read at boot, and that determines the source address the PDM will use. If they are both left open/floating, the source address should be 30 (0x1E).
What you are seeing may be caused by digital input 2 being grounded at boot.
If you are sure that digital inputs 1 & 2 are open/floating and you still see the problem, let me know. I will get more information.
The configuration was written for the newer models of PDMs, the IX3212, 12 volt or 24 volt.
Thanks!
