Hello all,
Is the PV780 capable of creating a checksum for the J1939 TSC1 PGN?
If not, is there an method I could use within Powervision to write the functionalaity?
Many thanks. Dave.

Re: J1939 TSC1 Checksum
I have not found any PowerVision code to calculate the TSC1 checksum. The developers tell me that they use 0x0F to indicate the checksum is not available and the TSC1 should be honored anyway.
The checksum can be calculated by a calculation event or in scripting. The checksum formula is published in the J1939 documentation for the 4207 SPN.

Re: J1939 TSC1 Checksum
thanks Boyce, I have set the message counter to F and the checksum to F so the 8th byte is FF = not available, as you say is mentioned and shoule be honoured. Until we test it on the machine we won't know if it needs it or not.
I might be back asking for some scripting help :)
