Hello,
I am having a minor issue with the display locking up when I leave the video screen. I am using 2.3, and I have 3 cameras on the same video input. The cameras are only on one at a time, i.e. the operator can choose the camera. When a new camera is chosen, the current camera is powered off, and after a short (100 msec) delay the selected camera is powered on. This all works fine (which surprised me a bit...). I also can navigate to the main gauge screen, but I had to write a state machine that first shut the cameras off, then after a short delay goes to the new view. The problem is if I use the popup menu to jump to another page, the camera is not turned off until entering the new page, the display freezes with a blue screen where the camera view was, then only cycling power solves the problem. BTW, if there is no camera hooked up, everything works fine.
I was wondering if there was a better solution than just eliminating the popup menu from the video views.
Thanks,
Phil

Re: Multiple video cams freezing display
Phil,
I'll try to look into this for you as best we can.
Which version of 2.3 are you using?
Is this on a PV750?
What model are the cameras you are using?
Do you have a data sheet or supplier we could get one of the cameras you are using?
I have seen certain cameras before cause issues, but we have also used many cameras without problems as well.
Thanks

Re: Multiple video cams freezing display
Hi Jed,
I am using 2.3.11175. This is on a PV750. The cameras are A-VS1C110 CabCAM 1/3" CCD Color Camera from A&I Products. I have found the camera at several retailers, but I do not have a spec sheet. My customer uses them.
It seems like as long as I power down the cam, then change pages there are no issues. I ended up removing the popup menu from the cameras pages, as my customer was fine with it and wanted it done ASAP. The software is now "final" so there will be no more changes to it. So, don't spend too much time figuring it out, at least not for me.
Thanks,
Phil

Re: Multiple video cams freezing display
Hi Jed,
Has any progress been made on this? Apparently my work around was not fool proof. Customer is now having issues in the field.
Should I be doing something with the Global Video Enable variable? Would it help if I turned that off when not using video?
Thanks,
Phil
