Will version 2.1 db3 files not work with version 2.2? I copied over my old db3 files from 2.1 to use with 2.2, but after loading them onto a PV750 I receive this message:
Invalid configuration version: 2210525
Application version 2.1.10023.0
Required configuration tool version; 2.1.10734 to 2.1.19999
Do I need to upgrade my files somehow?

2.2 configurations will work with your display however you will need to update the display itself to the matching 2.2 firmware. To do this you can use the "Full" button in the configuration tool to create a full install package which includes the configuration and firmware for your unit. You can then use a USB key to and the two button update sequence to update the display. After this the display will accept configurations from the 2.2 configuration tool.

What is that two-button update sequence? I'm going through the same firmware update with the TAR file on a USB stick, but I can't find the trigger sequence anywhere.

Re: 2.1 Configuration Files in 2.2
If you are loading off the stick then you are doing it correctly. However depending on how old your display is you may have to rename the full install tar file.
On older loaders you need to rename the full install file to update.tar.gz. (its default name is update-full.tar.gz)
On new loaders you need to use the arrow keys to select the update-full.tar.gz file before hitting the bottom right key to update the firmware.

Re: 2.1 Configuration Files in 2.2
Thanks for the quick reply, but unfortunately it's still a "no-go". My error message is the same as the first post in this thread, except my Application version is 2.1.10024.0, instead of 2.1.10023.0 as the first person reported.
Here's my sequence:
1) In PowerVision: "Create", then "Full", copy file to another location, and renamed "update-full.tar.gz" to "update.tar.gz".
2) Power down display, insert USB stick with only the TAR.GZ update, hold RETURN and BOTTOM RIGHT KEY, then power up.
3) Display reads "PV750 Software Update, Version 2.1.1.0 - RELEASE" with a graphic of a USB key inserting into a cable; my USB stick is active for a while, but when the display resets, it gives me my splash screen and then the original error readout.
What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

Nevermind... reformatted my thumb drive (FAT32), and now the update sequence works.
