I got an application the hardware setup by 3 controllers and PV450.

Now, the controller manufacuturer customize some CAN datas. They used a SPN to define two different variables with different Source Address coming from different controllers.

These Variables are programmed to display is not a problem, but how to handle the DTCs of these variables?

I can add some DTCs under the DTC tab of Database, input SPN & FMI , select Light Override and enter Message, then hit Save button, and there is a event log says: More that one DTC exists with the same SPN FMI code.....

How do I handle these? Also if two engines are connected with 1 PV450/750, how to display the same SPN & FMI just like :

SPN 110 FMI 16 Engine #1 coolant temperature is high
SPN 110 FMI 16 Engine #2 coolant temperature is high

Hello Terry,

You can only have one message per SPN, FMI combination.

To know if the DTC is coming from engine 1 or engine 2 you can display the variable "UserDefinedVariable.Dm1.SourceAddress" with a text gauge or "UserDefinedVariable.Dm1.DeviceNameId" with an indirect text widget like the Murphy Standard Configuration.
