Finding Fire on Change

Post by kgrover » Mon Sep 18, 2017 8:43 am

Is there an easy way to find variables that have a fire on change value set and what it is firing? I have inherited a configuration and it is not easy to follow the flow of this sometimes since I don't have a good way to see what variables are firing which scripts.

There's not a way in the PowerVision user interface. But you can export all of the variables in the groups that you are interested in that are on the Programming tab, using Tools -> Export Configuration Components... That will give you an XML file. You can look at the XML file and find all of the Variable Names that have a long string (GUID) in the MappedEvent element of the Variable.

Then you can go back into PowerVision and look at the variable Names on your list.
