Are there any plans to add drawing tools or drawing elements to the toolbox? It is very difficult to make boxes/lines/shapes outside of PV and import them and have them be the right size.
Thanks,
Phil

Re: Drawing tools?
Drawing tools is something we think about a lot and is in the list of enhancements we are looking at for future releases. Here are some of the alternatives and features we are considering.
1. All you to edit images in an external editor (ie Photohop, Paint.NET etc).
2. Add support for enhanced image drawing in the tool. This could include features such as drawing rotation, altering the hue/saturation etc and other filters.
3. Support for multiple colors on many objects allowing you to create gradients in backgrounds, warning zones, backplates, etc.
4. Support for drawing of primitive drawing elements (lines, squares, circles etc). The idea here is to let you specify the shape/color and eliminate the need to create graphics at all.
Obviously none of these are formally on our release plans yet but are being considered for future releases. If you like or dislike any of these please feel free to PM me or reply here in the forums.

Re: Drawing tools?
Hi Jake,
Thanks for the info. One thing I would like is the last option. Drawing lines and rectangles within the program would be very helpful for me. Most of my customers will use the display as HMI, rather than as a display for engine information. I want to convert my customers to Murphy as the display is superior, however my customers want the same look so as not to confuse the operators.
As far as the other options, for me they are not important.
thanks,
Phil

Re: Drawing tools?
This one is requested often and has been added to our wishlist for one of our next releases (not yet in 2.3 though).
