There must be a way to mass import/ in some kind of text file (csv for example) variables in the programming tab in Powervision Configuration Studio. I know it is possible to copy and paste rows, and this does create variables with unit of measure, and allow invalid flag, but leaves out important variable attributes such as
"Group"
"Include ID for Programming"
"Data Type"
"Save Values"
"Default Value"
"Simulation-Min"
"Simulation-Max"
"Simulation-Step"
"Description"
This single feature has potential to save hundreds of man hours on a project.

Re: Variable Import/Export as text
Hello Roel,
We need some more details/description of the feature.
With two instances of PowerVision Configuration Studio and two different configurations open, if I select a variable in Programming and copy it, then paste it over into the other config, I see all of the properties you list.
If I use Tools->Export Configuration Components to export multiple variables from different Groups, then import in in the other config, I see all of the properties you list.
I was using 2.8.10366.

Re: Variable Import/Export as text
Hello Sara,
The particular user experience I am looking for is ability to create many variables in Excel, or as raw CSV (comma separated variable) spreadsheet with these properties, then be able to import them into Powervision. In the current version you can copy and paste rows into Excel spreadsheet, however only get a small subset of the variable properties. I am looking for a way to import variables from Excel that would add all of the database properties for each variable.
Thanks for your reply!
