Can't load full-install on PV450 Rev-H

Post by waynelaker » Sun Sep 10, 2017 11:56 pm

Hi

We are struggling load our configuration onto a new display. We have been doing so for the last 3 years by using a USB Stick.

We are using PowerVision: 2.7.10475, App: 2.7.10220, OS: 2.7.20022.

The new display is rev-H and has bootloader 20006, and does not seem to detect the USB drive at all. I do not have the hardware revs of all of our displays at hand but I can find that out.

1. Why does the display have bootloader 20006 out of the factory? It is serial #3756565
2. Should we update the bootloader to the latest we have of 20019?
3. Anything else we can try?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Here's some information from Tech Services, he didn't mention anything about the bootloader version numbers.
Verify the PV450 USB port is outputting 5V USB power. Measure voltage between pins 1 and six on port A, you should have 5Vdc.
If the voltage is correct try another USB flash drive. Sometimes even though a Flash drive works on other displays it may not work on this particular unit.

Thank you for your response. One of our engineers has checked the display Port A pins 1 & 6 as per the advice from the manufacturer, expected voltage was 5V. Actual voltage found to be 1.5V

What does this indicate and how can we resolve this issue?

What they usually see is that the USB has been blown and the unit is not repairable and cannot be updated. The best thing is to contact your account manager.
