This is a generator control application. Here we use one ComAp controller for generator control and one PV780(10-Key Touch). These two devices are connected via Modbus. Here PV780 is Master and ComAp is Slave. First we assigned analog
inputs of ComAp in PV780 and check the communication. Then we found that, the readings are OK.
Also we need to assign alarms in PV780 from ComAp via modbus. But how to create Diagnostics messages in PV780 ?
Without a CAN connection, how to create diagnostics messages for faults(from Modbus or PV780 itself).

Hello abinjoy89,
There is a new feature in PowerVision 2.8 Patch 2 for color displays that provides a way to add an internal message to the DM1 list. Please see the Internal Message shape in the Activity Programming. Just assign values to the mapped variables of the Internal Message and fire an event to activate the Internal Message shape. This will add the provided information to the DM1 list of diagnostic messages.
