I have a question regarding the enabling of a mode to disable lights mode and how it might work with the outputs on the IX32s.
Turning off the display screen is fine but rather than adding all sorts of checks on the lights to see if we are in blackout mode I wondered if simply disabling the output channels would cause any impact? I am aware the processing of lighting messages would still be received and the output on the IX32s will be turned on and off but the channel will be disabled so it will not provide current I believe?
A quick check on a Murphy PDM seems to indicate that once the channel is re-enabled it behaves in the correct way but I want to ensure this isn’t having some risky hardware impact
My hope is this allows significant simplification of the state machines without having a hardware impact
Thanks
