Hello every one,
Now I got a problem, one of my project want to use PV750 drive Gauges by RS485, as we known, PV750 could drive PVA gauges, but we want to control the cost of control system, so we want to select PVM gauges. If we connect a +5VDC power supply to PVM gauges, could we connect and drive the PVM to PV750 by RS485? If ok, can we connect the PVM gauges power supply pin to Prot C Pin1(USB VBUS).
Some one could tell the solution is OK? I think the different between PVM and PVA is only the power supply. Thanks a lot!

Re: PV750 with PVM gauges
The interface between the PVM and PMA gauges are identical, so the PV750 should be able to control the PVA gauges. However, we would not recommend using the USB VBUS line to power the gauges. You would need to have an external 5V supply for the gauges.

Murphy has an accesory designed to provide 5 V power to PVM gauges.

Hello Jdgallaher and ksaenz
Thanks for your great support!
The pvs-5 is out 5V@450mA, could you tell me how about the PV750 USB power loading capacity @5VDC, more than 450mA ?

Re: PV750 with PVM gauges
Hello Mars,
The USB port does 5V @ 500 mA but it has not been tested with PVM gauges.

ksaenz
