2 unexpected CAN frames at start-up in PV780 Display

Post by Ignacio Medina » Wed Jan 10, 2018 9:09 am

Hello,

I am using PV780 Display and I get two unexpected CAN messages at starting the device.

From other old threat in the Forum, I would say this is because the display is using J1939 protocol so those messages are claim addres request and the address itself.

Since my company is not using J1939 as standard protocol for the CAN communication, is there any way of removing those messages?

Thank you in advance,
Ignacio Medina

Those are expected. The EA00 PGN is a request for address claims. All devices should report their addresses. The EE00 PGN is the address claim for the display.
