Switching one screen view to an another with Password scree

Post by mikwin » Wed Jun 19, 2013 9:25 pm

Hello, hope I'm at the right place on this site for this questions.... you know first time to this forum.

Anyway, here is what I want to accomplish on a 450 display -Version 2.6. I have two screen, one is the general info screen
and the second one is the Settings Screen which the user can modify some parameters on the machine, But to have access to this screen, the operator should have a password to access to this screen,so he can modify and record new parameters.

I have already a screen that I can place into the 'Popup Layer' but after... :?:

Questions: How I can do that?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hello Mikwin,

Here is an example that uses state machines to show a password prompt page when the user wants to go to a protected page. After the user enters the password the state machine compares it with the internal password and if they match it shows the protected page.

The example was saved with PVCS 2.3 for greater compatibility but it can be upgraded to 2.6.

Regards,

Thank you Ksaenz for your help. I did already dowloaded this file but I will prefer to use the numeric keyboard
with state machine and script to do it. Where I can email yoiu my file, so you can take a look for me?

Hello,
You can password protect the entire display.
