I would like to know if it would be possible to load a .flv file from a usb drive onto the display as i would like to use the flash file video on the display. or if you have any other formats that i would be able to read to the display i would appreciate it if you can assist me with this. and also if i would be able to update the file through the rs 485 port.

No, sorry I don't think we can support this.

The way the display deals with video is a video input.

We can look at embedded video playback in some future release, but as of now you can not play .flv files or any other digital movie format (.mp3, .wav, .mp4, etc).
