Just had a read through of the pdf in this Sticky Post and it looks like it could do with updating a bit. It mentions "Texture View" that doesn't appear to exist anymore.
Does the rest of the document still apply with newer screens or is it not so relevant any more?
Also is it ok to import RGB 565 bitmaps into PowerVision? Does this then get converted internally to a PNG file before being stored in the display
