At the heart of the retrofits that Smith Power Products are doing is a Murphy PowerView 500 with MurCal SmartCommand™, and with it they used a hand throttle, a CAN splitter and a foot pedal for throttle control. With the SmartCommand software, the PV500 acts at the interface between the inputs and the engine.
The PV500 with SmartCommand is fully configurable. You can change all the display settings, gauges, engine types (Tier 3, Tier IV, Tier IV Final / Stage 5), and aftertreatment settings. All those options are fully selectable by the customer. MurCal also makes it easier for the customer by providing fully customized harness solutions for whatever engine platform they are using.”
